Finance Manager
The Reporting function is part of the Finance Regulatory and Basel Reporting (RBR) Team. is responsible for the production, credible review, and filing of the FFIEC101 and 14M/Q reports. This key role is also responsible for providing responses to regulatory inquiries, studies, and surveys proposed by the agencies, ad-hoc analysis, and participating in regulatory and audit reviews. A solid understanding of the Basel and 14M/Q reporting rules and related data requirements is a critical skill set for this role.
This key position will own and be accountable for the reporting production process including controls and best practices supporting the companies Basel (FFIEC 101) and Pillar 3 disclosures, and the capital specific schedules for the FR Y-9C and FR Y-14Q. This role will also be responsible for the preparation and filing of the -14M, FR Y-14Q, TIC SHL (A), SHC (A) and SLT reports. Specific responsibilities may include, but not be limited to the following:
- Manage the creation and submission of the FFIEC101 regulatory reports, Pillar 3 disclosures, and capital specific schedules for the FR Y-9C and FR Y-14Q.
- Manage the creation and submission of FR Y-14M, FR Y-14Q, TIC SHL (A), SHC (A) and SLT reports.
- Manage activities supporting the monthly and quarterly capital estimate process.
- Coordinate all internal management reporting of Basel results.
- Present crisp and concise updates to senior management, regulators and other stakeholders as required.
- Manage variance analysis (current vs prior period actuals and actual vs forecast etc.) for all reports.
- Direct team to implement changes and enhancements specific to Report Owner responsibilities under Governance & Oversight (G&O) Framework.
- Engagement and appropriate influence in broader enterprise efforts related to the G&O Framework as it pertains data quality, capital calculations, and reporting accuracy.
- Ensure Basel reporting processes are in compliance with Basel Qualification Policy.
- Manage team members effectively with a specific focus on team building, training, career development supporting ability to raise the bar and continuous process improvement mindset.
- Possess subject matter expertise related to Basel and 14M/Q data requirements, computations and reporting. Ability to manage large datasets demonstrating an appropriate level of detail and accuracy.
- Ability to influence partner stakeholders through establishing productive relationships also supporting the trust/confidence of executive leaders.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of finance experience.
- 5+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge and understanding of Basel III reporting
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate governance, financial reporting systems, legal entities, and role of regulatory authorities
Other Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Finance or Mathematics / Statistics
- Working knowledge of Basel III regulations
- 2+ years of experience working with Basel calculations and/or reporting
- Expertise in finance and accounting concepts, budgeting & forecasting activities, and management reporting
- Experience with building driver-based models to generate financial projections
- Strong business acumen, with ability to think strategically and understand the big picture
- Experience monitoring industry, technology, and regulatory trends to determine business impacts
