Group Head Mechanical (Project Management)
Leads the efforts in:
- Mechanical Equipment Design (Static and Rotating).
- Piping Technology and o Standards Administration.
- Executes and assigns personnel on projects assignments.
- Directs the development of documents in Mechanical Equipment standards, Mechanical Work procedures, and Piping Technology standards.
- Provides assistance and expertise to the Unit Head of PME.
- Talent/Competency development of the direct personnel.
- Represents the Mechanical Group on Global activities.
- Works/communicates with external vendors on a regular basis and external customers.
- Works/communicates with external Engineering Professionals and Experts external to Company
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree is required (or equivalent engineering experience) with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the Mechanical area. Should be recognized as a senior authority in his specific area of Mechanical Expertise The incumbent must have a sound engineering knowledge in his/her discipline and broad practical experience to be recognized as a technical expert.
- The incumbent must be able to assimilate technical knowledge quickly to keep up with the advancements in his/her field of expertise.
- The incumbent must have solid skills in management, estimating, planning, communication, coordination, decision making, negotiation, coaching, and in quality and safety awareness. His/her ability to develop personnel is a key requirement. Furthermore, human relationship skills such as leadership and influencing and interpersonal skills are important to coordinate the wide variety of tasks inside a group of professional people to meet the demands of management, project managers, and other divisional technical personnel. Ability to travel is a key expectation.
Other supporting Qualifications:
- Registered Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering.
- Good English language skills, written and oral.
- German Language skills helpful (not required).
- Strong analytical and problem solving (decision making) skills.
- Collaborative team player capable of working well with people across all hierarchies.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills such as communication, listening, verbal and assertiveness
