Senior Manager of Internal Operation
Responsibilities:
The Contract Logistics Center is a department level organization which runs the factory front-end, acting as the bridge between the factory and the field (sales, service, and installation). Leading the organization, the SR MGR is responsible, working with and through front line managers, for all the front end processes for factory including:
- Customer service
- Warrant parts
- Production Scheduling
- Production planning and forecasting
- Technical order processing, including drafting and contract engineering
- Machine Automation programming
- Programming of computerized efficiency tools
- Run the internal operations of the factory front end.
- Work cross-functionally to drive down lead time, meet commitments to customers, and continuously improve products and services
- Collects and analyzes customer feedback, and develops improvement plans
- Monitor the health of all contracts released to the factory, including both the processing and completion of orders; The SR MGR takes action whenever a contract is at risk, working with the stakeholders (Production, Materials, Sales, Logistics, etc) to resolve the problem
- Liaison between the field and factory
- Builds and maintains effective, constructive relationships with branch and region personnel
- Consults with engineering, drafting, and sales to meet unique customer needs within the constraints of factory
- Review and negotiate back charges and expedites as necessary
Qualifications:
- Experience leading a department through subordinate managers
- Experience with 2D drafting and 3D modeling tools and applying those tools in a new product introduction environment,
- Experience with front-end manufacturing processes (customer service, scheduling, etc)
- Tenacious and creative – constantly looking for new ways, tools, and technologies to drive better customer service with increasing levels of efficiency and agility
- Process oriented, and have a passion for disciplined, continuous process improvement
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Relevant Advanced degrees (example: MBA) preferred
- 7+ years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment, including- knowledge of project management, lean manufacturing and logistics, as well as business processes
